  • <h3><strong>Notice:</strong></h3> <p>Department of Chemistry organises <strong>&#39;Poster Making Competition</strong>&#39; on the Theme- <samp><em>From Science to Global Action</em></samp> on the occassion of <strong><span class="marker"><tt>World Ozone Day</tt></span></strong>.</p> <p>Date and Timing of Event: 17th Sept. 2025 (Tuesday) at 9.30 AM to 11.00 AM.</p> <p>Place: Audio-visual room</p> <h3><strong>Description:</strong></h3> <p>To commemorate <strong>World Ozone Day 2025</strong>, Department of Chemistry, A. D. M. Bharsingi organized a <strong>Poster Making Competition</strong> on 17&nbsp;September 2025 at College. The event aims to encourage students to creatively express their ideas on environmental protection, ozone depletion and to inspire creative thinking among students on environmental issues.</p> <p>The theme of this year&rsquo;s World Ozone Day, <em>&ldquo;</em><samp><em>From Science to Global Action</em></samp><em>,&rdquo;</em> was chosen as the central idea for the competition. A total of 30 students from various classes participated enthusiastically. Participants showcased their artistic talents through thought-provoking posters highlighting topics such as ozone depletion, its harmful effects, and measures to conserve the ozone layer.</p> <p>The competition was inaugurated by Dr. P. D. Pawar, who appreciated the students for their concern towards environmental issues. The posters were judged on the basis of creativity, relevance to theme, originality, and presentation by Dr. P. V. Gayakwad and Dr. N. M. Raut.</p> <p>At the end of the event, the winners were announced. Ku. Muskan Sheikh secured the first prize, Vaishnavi Kharpuriye second, and Pragati Rewatkar third. Certificates of appreciation were distributed to all participants.</p> <p>The event was a grand success and helped to create awareness among students about their role in protecting the environment.   • <p>On 18th September 2025, the Department of Botany and NSS Cell of Arvindbabu Deshmukh Mahavidyalaya, Bharsingi jointly organized a Seedball Preparation Demonstration programme. The event was efficiently organized and compared by NSS Coordinator Dr. P. V. Gayakwad.</p> <p>The programme began with a lucid and engaging presentation by Asst. Prof. S. R. Sinkar, who explained the step-by-step process of seedball preparation. He also introduced students to the inspiring work of Padmashri Awardee Jadav Payeng , popularly known as the Forest Man of India, who created a forest in Jorhat, Assam, Tulsi Gowda, widely celebrated as the Encyclopedia of the Forest and Tree Goddess for her exceptional knowledge of plants, and Rahibai Soma Popere from Maharashtra, a renowned Indian farmer and conservationist recognized for her efforts in conserving indigenous seed varieties. Additionally, Asst. Prof. Sinkar discussed the commercial value and potential entrepreneurial opportunities of seedball production, encouraging students to view it as both an eco-friendly and income-generating activity.</p> <p>This was followed by a hands-on training session conducted by Asst. Prof. M. A. Joshi, where students actively participated in preparing seedballs. Dr. S. P. Gudadhe highlighted the importance of such eco-friendly initiatives, explained their relevance under NEP (National Education Policy) assignments, and guided students about the seedball submission procedure.</p> <p>During the interactive session, Dr. S. R. Bansod solved the students&rsquo; queries, enhancing their understanding of the topic.</p> <p>The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by co-coordinator of NSS cell Asst. Prof. P. U. Wasu, who expressed gratitude to Dr. P. D. Pawar, Principal of the college, NSS volunteers, students, and faculty members for their active participation and support, making the event a grand success.</p>
